'Rise and Fall' (2023) is one of my strongest 2D animations, utilising my skills in Toon Boom Harmony to create an expressive, animated rig, using a vibrant, bright colour palette and style, whilst also using Clip Studio Paint for background work.

It tells the story of my original character, Okoto, and his wacky daily routine after waking up to his friend, Naomi (now named Noemi). At the time, it was an experimentation and exploration with my characters and the rigs they had and how they could express emotion and movement through them, depending on their personalities, whether outgoing, shy, or any other emotion, and showcasing it through their physical selves.

It was also an opportunity to delve deeper into storytelling for a first time, and describe Okoto's unmotivated, yet aspirational mindset, and act as a first introduction to his character.
